Shutter Island

Didn't sleep all that well last night. I woke up and started looking for something...after a while I realised I was looking for something from the dream I just had. I dreamt I'd been sewing and left some needles in bed. I almost pushed Adrian out of the bed looking. Really weird.

After dinner today we saw
"Shutter Island" - what an odd but thrilling movie! I think I'll give it three "Åsa" out of five possible..... It was good but I don't think I'll watch it again.

What do you call this flower in english? Here we call it "vitsippa" and when I look in a dictionary they want me to think it's called "windflower"....could that really be right?

Anyway.... I know I said that lillies are one of my favorite flowers, but I changed my mind. They have this scent that I can't really stand, so, nope, they are of the list again.

Have spent the day over at Beatrices house....am sooooo tired! Will watch an episode of "LOST" before going to bed! Man, I'm getting old!
My girls, Sanna and Iida, are in town! Watch out boys and girls!
Picked them up around three and went over to my house. They hadn't seen my new apartament and I needed to change clothes befor going out.
Had dinner att "Vasastan" and we were deeply disappointed. The guy at the door was on some kinda powertrip thinking he could be rude and get away with it! But no, I told him off.... We had to wait for a while before being seated and we got a table outside (we had book a indoortable) and it was really cold. Nobody came to take our order, so I had to go get someone. We got our food, and it was delicious! I had a chanterellerisotto with green asparagus. Yummy! And after that we had to wait forever again, first for the check and then for the change.... No, we did not leave a tip.

We left the aweful place and went to Lilla London ("Little London"). Sat there for a couple of hourse and talkt about this and that! After that we crossed the street and hooked up with a bunch of my friends at Hard Rock! Adrian and his friends joined us later - it was a really good night! At 2 we almost fell asleep so we went home after a quick stop at Burger King for a cheesburger. Was a great ending to a great day!

Universeum

Today me and my friend, Sandra, went to Universeum. We had so much fun! There are so many things to see and do! We had two hours to go through the entire thing before they closed. If we'd had more time we could have stayed for another two!

They've built an entire rainforest in there! It's amazing! You could se butterflies, insects (I even saw a cockroach, which creeped me out), monkeys and parrots and other small birds. They even had huge aquariums with crocodiles and all kinds of exotic fish! It was really humid and hot and for a minute there I really thought I was in a rainforest! It was great!

One section had snakes and spiders. I was kinda scared when I walked through there.... what if a poisonous spider had escaped! Scary!!!

Flowers

Sunday was, as I mentioned, Adrians birthday. And for his birthday he got, among other things, some flowers. At the moment my aboslute favorite flower is gerbera (I'm note sure that it's called gerbera in english...can't find a page that will translate it for me)...anyway, he got a beautiful bouquet of pink lilies! And lilies are from now on my second favorite flower....tied with sunflower! Everytime I walk passed them I can't help but smile.

Tonight we had fishstickes and rice for supper! I know, maybe not the most exotic supper ever, but it was tasty! Life is good! :-)

Wonderful weekend

This weekend was great. Saturday we woke up early and got a hole lot done before we went in to town and checked in at hotell Avalon by Kungsportsplatsen. We had made reservations for a Superior room but got upgraded to a suite. NICE! The suite had a small terrace, gorgeous livingroom with huge windows, overlooking the city. The bed was lovely (as beds usually are in hotells) and the sheets... Oh, my good! They were truely magnificent! If you can fall in love with sheets, I so did! And the bathroom...I wish I had that bathroom at home....or at least the bathtub.

For dinner we had a 4-course meal. The first two courses was not even tasty, but the main course and the dessert were delicious.

Sunday Adrians family came over for dinner to celebrate his birthday. We made our own hamburgers and threw them on the grill. Yummy!

Yesterday I went over to Emma's house after work for a walk and dinner. On my way home I stopped at WCJ (West Coast Jitterbugs) and danced a little bit (Lindy Hop). I LOVE Lindy!
